The Buccaneers head coach has been sued by his own trusted player for a hugely terminated project.
Bruce Arians paid a heavy price for that swipe.
In Sunday’s NFC wild card game against the Philadelphia Eagles, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach struck the head of his own safety, Andrew Adams, and was fined $50,000 by the NFL.
Arians declared on Wednesday that he would contest the fine. We’re good, he remarked; it has nothing to do with the game.
The Eagles punted the ball back to the Buccaneers in the fourth quarter, which is when the incident happened. Arians stated that he was attempting to stop Adams from foul-playing when he pulled people from a pile.
In the first half of an NFC Wild Card playoff football game at Raymond James Stadium, head coach Bruce Arians of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers leads his team against the Philadelphia Eagles.
On Monday, Arians told reporters, “I’ve seen enough dumb.” Guys cannot be pulled out of a clump. He’s trying to pull a guy out of a pile after we just had a huge play with excellent field position, and I was trying to knock him off that person to avoid getting called for a penalty.”
In a bid to win the Super Bowl again, the Buccaneers upset the Eagles 31-15. This Sunday at 3 p.m. ET (NBC), they will meet the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC divisional round.
