Unbelievable, The Calgary flames all time powerful player who was declared not for sale they have finally announced his Sold out over a billion dollars
We haven’t witnessed genuine best-on-best international hockey involving players from the National Hockey League in a very long time. Not a single World Cup or NHL team has competed in the Winter Olympics since the World Cup of Hockey in 2016. However, there are hints that the World Cup might return in February 2025!
Considering that a possible tournament is still a year and a half away, consider which current Calgary Flames players might participate.
Since the format of the 2025 event is still unknown, we shall make some educated suggestions. Since eight teams competed in previous World Cups, we’ll just use the top eight teamsāCanada, Finland, Russia, the United States, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, and Czechiaāfrom the current International Ice Hockey Federation world ranking.
Based on each player’s past international experiences in addition to their performances, we are evaluating their possibilities.
Sweden
Elias Lindholm finished sixth in points among Swedish NHL forwards despite having a poor season. He has competed for Sweden in eight important competitions. If nothing unexpected happens, he will be at the World Cup.
A month away from turning 36, Mikael Backlund will be present when the World Cup kicks off. Nevertheless, he is still a very successful player who has played for Sweden eleven times, leading the national team to a World Championship. It will be difficult to keep him off the team unless his play significantly deteriorates in the interim.
Last season, Rasmus Andersson tied for second place among right-shot blueliners and fourth place overall among Swedish blueliners in terms of points. Despite not having played for Sweden since the men’s Under-18 Worlds prior to his draft year, he remains a serious candidate in this competition. And keep an eye on Oliver Kylington, who might earn a spot if he has a good 2023ā24 year.
