After a lengthy career that ended more than 18 months ago, the former Michigan State football coach was back in East Lansing to witness Alan Haller’s official introduction as the school’s new athletic director.

After two years, Dantonio will return to the sidelines after taking a sabbatical from honing his golf skills and spending more time with his family. As Michigan State wraps up an ongoing investigation into allegations of sexual harassment, coach Mel Tucker was suspended. Haller stated on Sunday that Dantonio will be an associate head coach and selected secondary coach Harlon Barnett as the interim head coach.
