Unbelievable, The former head coach for Milwaukee Bucks Mike Budenholzer has announced his return to the team

Mike Budenholzer was born in Holbrook, Arizona, on August 6, 1969, and is a professional basketball coach.

Before being appointed head coach of the Atlanta Hawks in 2013, he started his coaching career as an assistant for the San Antonio Spurs in the late 1990s.

Budenholzer, who has won two NBA Coaching of the Year Awards, was a member of the Hawks’ staff for five years prior to joining the Bucks in 2018.

Although Budenholzer guided the Bucks to their second NBA title in 2021, he was “fired” in 2023.

The Bucks won 58 games in the 2022–2023 campaign, which helped them earn the top overall seed in the postseason.

The squad did not carry over their regular season dominance into the playoffs, as they lost 4-1 to the No. 8 Miami Heat in the opening round, becoming just the sixth No. 1 seed in NBA history to lose to a No. 8 seed, according to ESPN.

Despite having two years remaining on his contract, Budenholzer was “fired,” it was revealed a week later.

Through a statement, Bucks general manager Jon Horst said, “The decision to make this change was very difficult,” as reported by ESPN.

Bud guided our club into an era of consistent success, to the Bucks’ first championship in fifty years, and for five amazing seasons.

“We are appreciative of Bud’s contribution to the winning and leadership cultures in Milwaukee.

“This is an opportunity for us to refocus and reenergize our efforts as we continue building toward our next championship season,” Horst said.

Although his departure was verified, no explanation was given.

Budenholzer is frequently found spending time with his family at home when he is not playing basketball.

Three of the children that the Michael H. Goldberg NBCA Coach of the Year recipient and his ex-wife, Mary Beth Budenholzer, are said to have welcomed are his four children.
