At the age of 33, Gareth Bale has declared his retirement from professional football.
The former Wales, Tottenham, Real Madrid, and Southampton player, who joined Los Angeles FC in the summer of 2022, released an explanation of his decision on social media.
“After careful and thoughtful consideration, I announce my immediate retirement from club and international football,” he stated in a letter.
