Maybe that’s why Green, who turned 34 this past weekend, required a vacation to spend his birthday with his spouse Hazel. And when visiting the Ritz-Carlton at Half Moon Bay, close to San Francisco, the two spent no money at all. Offering five-star amenities to visitors, the resort has a view of the Pacific Ocean over the edge of the cliff.

Anbang Insurance Group is the resort’s owner, and it is valued at an astounding $301 million. However, considering that Green is a four-time NBA champion and is reported to be worth $90 million, a stay there is not too costly.

Hazel, Green’s wife, shared a birthday greeting on Instagram, along with a photo of their view and a snapshot of him lounging in their room while dressed in a spa robe. “I caught the sunrise and sunset with my birthday boy,” and “I love you mucho grande papi,” were her captions for the pictures. I hope you had a day as wonderful as you, my love.”

Hazel also sent her husband birthday wishes in another picture-heavy post. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Amor, @money23green,” she wrote. My husband, I hope you have another incredible journey around the sun! We adore you incredibly. For the record, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me! You are superior to me.”

Thousands of fans left heartfelt comments on the post, wishing Green a happy birthday and praising the poignant remark that many said perfectly encapsulated the “couple goal.”
