Heartbreaking news: The Brewers’ head coach is suspended after it proved that he had an affair with his key player’s wife
It was revealed on Monday afternoon that Craig Counsell, manager of the Brewers, will take over as the Chicago Cubs’ next coach. Fans are shocked beyond belief because the Cubs are a fierce foe. This has angered a number of fans, who are expressing it on Twitter.
Counsell played for the Brewers for nine seasons, finishing with a 707-625 record and three division titles. Counsell will be remembered as one of the greatest managers in Brewers history.
On Wednesday, when the squad faced the New York Mets, Garrett Mitchell, 24, hit his first walk-off home run. Mitchell crushed the ball to right field seats on a 3-2 pitch to give the Brewers a 7-6 victory over the Mets.
The 2020 draft choice joked in a video that Bally Sports Wisconsin recorded after the game when team reporter Sophia Minneart questioned him about how he pulled off the incredible event. “Usually, nice things happen when my wife is absent from the games. “I thought, ‘Man, she’s not here, might as well do something fun,’ as I was heading out.”
Haley Cruse Mitchell, Mitchell’s wife, wasted little time in standing up for herself.
Shortly after her husband’s remark, Haley, a successful softball player in her own right, tweeted
“Never going to a game again, you’re welcome Brewers fans,” she subsequently said.
Haley continued by posting a screen grab of a conversation in which her parents were asked if “G walk off?”
