Jakarta: Ajax Amsterdam, a team in the Dutch League, has formally named a new coach to take over for Erik Ten Hag, who will shortly take up a coaching role at Manchester United. Alfred Schreuder is the man.
Ajax and Schreuder committed to working together for the next two years, as per the terms of the deal.
Schreuder worked as Ten Hag’s assistant at Ajax for eighteen months, according to Reuters. He also served as Ronald Koeman’s assistant at Barcelona during the previous campaign.
This former Ajax player has also held the position of head coach at Twente and Hoffenheim. He remains in charge of Belgian club Club Brugge at the moment.
At the end of the season, Schreuder’s Brugge squad led the Belgian League standings after coming back from a deficit. If his squad wins this week, they’ll guarantee the crown.
Schreuder is thrilled to have the wonderful opportunity to lead Ajax Amsterdam and expresses his gratitude. Even so, the 49-year-old coach intends to give de Joden his all.
“I embrace the honor and wonderful chance that come with leading Ajax as their head coach. According to Reuters, the new coach stated, “I want to present my prize in Amsterdam with a team that plays this attractive football.”
Schreuder is no longer working for his former team, Ajax Amsterdam, despite his official appointment as coach. He won’t begin working in Amsterdam until this season is over and he has proven himself.
“But I want to win the season with Club Brugge first and foremost. “I’ll exert every effort to ensure its realization,” Schreuder declared in closing.
After just 15 games, former Ajax head coach Alfred Schreuder left Al-Ain of the United Arab Emirates. “Due to a lack of consistency between the coach and his coaching staff with the company’s institutional work system,” the Dutchman’s contract was terminated.
The 51-year-old Alfred Schreuder left Ajax in January with a bitter exit, and he signed with Al-Ain at the end of May. Al-Ain had a great start to the season, winning 13 of the 15 games under Schreuder’s leadership. In the Asian Champions League on Tuesday, Al-Ain defeated Al Feiha, a Saudi team, 3-2. However, the club has officially announced his departure.
