As they get started with spring practices for the 2024 campaign, the Georgia Bulldogs will be working hard this week. The Dawgs have a ton of work ahead of them and even more questions to address, given the high level of anticipation surrounding this year’s squad. “What is the current injury report?” is one of the most important questions that every team has to answer every season.

Pearce Spurlin, a sophomore tight end, received an update this morning from head coach Kirby Smart. It will be necessary for Pearce Spurlin to accept a medical designation. He will give up football due to a medical heart condition. Although the team was aware of and keeping an eye on this, according to Smart, he is “too much at risk.”

Pearce Spurlin was interviewed by Dawgs Daily just prior to his Georgia enrollment. After competing in the Adidas All-American Game for a week in San Antonio, he spoke about the journey.
