We Must Have Him Back: Aston Villa Owner Said…

Purslow,59, was hired in 2018 after experiencing financial success at Chelsea and Liverpool.
After losing to Fulham in the 2017–18 play-off final, Villa experienced financial difficulties, including an outstanding tax debt.
For the past five years, Purslow remarked, leading Villa has been a “total privilege”.

Shortly after Wes Edens and Nassef Sawiris became the club’s owners, Purslow was hired. They added that five years prior, Purslow had “delivered the ambitious turnaround plan” that he had outlined to the club.
“We express our gratitude for all of his efforts,” the two businessmen continued.
Mateu Alemany, the director of football of Barcelona, declared in May that he would remain at the Nou Camp and would not be joining Aston Villa.
Additionally, the team is rumored to be interested in Sevilla’s sporting director Monchi, who has previously collaborated with Emery.

Villa earned a spot in the Europa Conference League play-offs by finishing seventh in the 2022–2023 Premier League standings.

He said in a statement: “I am proud that I leave the club in a much better position on and off the pitch than when I arrived.””We have created a world-class training ground and secured planning permission for an expansion and modernization of our wonderful stadium.
We are re-established in the Premier League: we now have a very competitive professional women’s team and outstanding academies for boys and girls.” “Thank you to everyone at Villa and our supporters who have made my time here so enjoyable.”
