Coach Erik ten Hag of Ajax Amsterdam is adamant about trying to hold his brilliant team together, even if several of his young players are on the want lists of elite European teams.

Matthijs de Ligt, Frenkie de Jong, David Neres, Andre Onana, Donny van de Beek, and Hakim Ziyech have all been the subject of a lot of transfer rumors leading up to the January transfer window and after Ajax advanced to the Champions League round of 16.
But Ten Hag has expressed his resolve to keep his young team together ahead of Ajax’s Champions League matchup with holders Real Madrid next month, as the team trains in Orlando’s pleasant weather before the Dutch league resumes later this month.

Reporters were told, “We are flattered by the amount of interest shown in our players, but we do not want any of our regular starting lineup to leave.”

However, we are aware that certain activities that are currently in motion cannot be stopped and that the transfer window can be erratic.
“Just as we fought to keep Matthijs de Ligt, Frenkie de Jong, and Andre Onana together last summer, we will fight to try and keep this side together.”
Young Dutch internationals de Jong and de Ligt are Ajax’s most valuable assets and present the team with an opportunity to become extremely wealthy because to their connections to several high-profile teams, most notably Barcelona and Manchester City.
