26 March – Greg Joseph, a former kicker for the Minnesota Vikings, will join with the Green Bay Packers and remain in the NFC North, his agent said on social media on Tuesday.
According to NFL Network, there could be a $1.295 million value to the one-year contract.
Agent Brett Tessler tweeted that Joseph, 29, “had other interest but liked this opportunity.”
In 2023, Joseph, newly signed Jack Podlesny, and incumbent Anders Carlson—who struggled as a rookie—will compete with each other at kicker for Green Bay.

Both the longest field goal (61 yards, in 2022) and the most game-winning field goals (five in 2022). are records held by Joseph with the Vikings. Last season, he converted 24 out of 30 field goals (eighty percent) and 36 out of 38 extra-point tries (94.7 percent), including a 54-yard long kick.
Joseph has been a player with the Vikings (2021–2023), Tennessee Titans (2019), and Cleveland Browns (2018). He has made 146 of 162 point-after attempts (90.1%) and 100 of 121 field goal attempts (82.6%). 71.3 percent of his kickoffs have resulted in touchbacks, with 80.9 percent of those occurring in 2021.
