Tottenham Hotspur‘s four highest-paid players have been kidnapped, allegedly for financial reasons. Some of Tottenham’s vast group of loan players continued their exploits across England and Europe this week, with firsts and absences.

Spurs have 13 players on loan in the Premier League, Football League, Turkey, Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, and Italy. Ivan Perisic is also in Croatia, having joined Hajduk Split on loan until the conclusion of his Tottenham contract this summer. He will then play for Croatia next season. He is not anticipated to return from his cruciate ligament injury until at least April.

Here’s how the other 12 Spurs loan players have fared over the last week:

Djed Spence retained his status as Genoa’s fortunate charm as they defeated Udinese 2-0 at home in Serie A on Saturday.

The 23-year-old came off the bench for the final 12 minutes of the game, and after starting three games when he first arrived in Italy, Spence now has three wins and one draw in his four appearances. Genoa, on the other hand, has lost or drawn the two games in which he served as an unused substitute.

Spence talked with La Gazzetta dello Sport earlier this month, where he was asked about his time at Tottenham and why it did not work out for him.
