Sad report: Kris Knoblauch shed tears as Edmonton Oilers introduced new coach to the team
The Post revealed on Saturday that Pat Roessler will likely join the team as an assistant hitting coach, joining James Rowson, the new hitting coach.
First to report on Roessler’s return to New York was NJ Advance Media.
Under Rowson, Roessler will work alongside Casey Dykes as an assistant. Roessler was the hitting coach for the Mets in 2018 and served as an assistant coach from 2015 to 2017.
He previously served as the Yankees’ director of player development from 2005-14, where he crossed paths with Rowson when Rowson was the club’s minor league hitting coordinator.
