Sad report, Ivan Cleary sheld tears as the penrith Panthers introduced a new coach to the team.
Ivan Cleary, the premiership-winning coach of the Panthers, has given an explanation for his absence from the team during Round 14: blood clots in his legs.
Danny Weidler of Nine claims that during Cleary’s stay in the intensive care unit, medical personnel identified the problem.
“Ivan’s issue hasn’t really been focused on in this season of coaching chaos and a merry-go-round,” Weidler stated.
This year, he has missed three games.
“Yes, they found blood clots in his legs when he was in the intensive care unit last week. Thus, things are very dire for Ivan Cleary and the Panthers.
Fortunately, Cleary is expected to rejoin his squad on Tuesday.
Weidler stated, “He is now receiving treatment for all of that and, happily, he is back at home and hopes to be back working with the Panthers tomorrow.”
