The New York Giants have re-signed all the sacked players, including…

All of the fired players have been re-signed by the New York Giants, who are retaining the majority of their roster following their unexpected postseason run.

NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported on Thursday that receiver Darius Slayton, who agreed to terms on a two-year contract for up to $16.5 million, became the latest Giant to re-sign with the team. According to Garafolo, Slayton’s contract has a basic value of $12 million.

Two receivers, including Slayton, reached a deal with New York on Thursday. Parris Campbell, a former second-round choice of the Colts, inked a one-year contract with the Giants.

After amassing more than 700 receiving yards in three of his four NFL seasons, Slayton is finally being paid. He came close to surpassing his all-time best of 751 yards in 2022; he averaged a new single-season best of 15.7 yards per reception in 16 games (11 starts) as part of a Giants offense that didn’t throw for a lot of yards but was effective enough to help New York make the playoffs for the first time since 2016.

Quarterback Daniel Jones was the first of several Giants going for free agency to sign contracts to stay in New York, agreeing to a four-year agreement worth an average of $40 million per year. Giants fans can add Slayton to the roster of returning players, that includes Jones and running back Saquon Barkley, as well as tight end Darren Waller, who was acquired in a trade.

Jones will be pleased to have a familiar face to target as the Giants approach their second season under coach Brian Daboll, with their sights set on even greater heights in 2023.
