Sadly, the head coach of Carlton is sacked due to the mis…

After Carlton’s dismal AFL season debut, the Blues fired their senior coach, bringing an end to the Brendon Bolton era at the club.

Important points: In his 77 games as the Blues’ manager, Brendan Bolton only managed to win 16 of them, giving him a win-loss percentage of slightly over 20%.
The Blues claimed that the team’s dismal win-loss record was the reason behind Bolton’s dismissal.
Bolton said he was not upset about being fired from the Blues and “cherished” his time there.
Midway through his fourth season as head coach, the Blues decided to cut Bolton’s contract. This afternoon, the players were notified of the decision, and assistant coach David Teague would take over in the interim.

With only one victory in 11 games this season, the team is far down the ladder. Their most recent setback came on Sunday, when they lost 41 points to Essendon at the MCG.

Out of their last 43 games, it was the Blues’ 39th defeat.

Bolton stated he “cherished” his time as the Blues coach but accepted the decision to end his contract. Reporters cheered him on as he broke down in tears during his press conference.

“The threshold just got too high, so I’m disappointed, but I understand it,” he stated.

“It’s another Carlton-first decision, so that’s the way it is.”

Bolton acknowledged that his job as coach was always in jeopardy due to the Blues’ results and declared he was “not bitter” about it.

Considering the young and skilled roster the club has, he projected a bright future for them.

“I spoke to the players; it’s got a lot of young talent in now,” Bolton stated.

“They can grow up together and stay united.”

Bolton is the victim of subpar outcomes
Bolton’s win-loss record of slightly over 20 percent came from winning just 16 of the 77 games he managed.

Bolton was commended by Blues president Mark LoGiudice for dedicating his “heart and soul” to the team, but he was fired as coach due to subpar on-field performance.

“It was an expectation that we would start to see the benefits of that development,” he stated.
