Nets rallies behind Mikal Bridges to stun the Celtics 115-105.
The Bruins’ $90 million deal with David Pastrnak wasn’t just the best choice. It was the only choice available.
The Brooklyn Nets, who were destroyed by the Celtics at TD Garden last month, pulled off the biggest comeback against the Celtics thus far this season after trading for Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.
It was only fitting that Boston was jeered as it left the field at the conclusion of the match. With 28 points, the Celtics blew it.
lead, gave up a 77-37 run on their home court, and for extended periods of the game, appeared to be inactive.
In every conceivable analytical category, the Celtics’ coach Joe Mazzulla declared following the contest, “They beat us.” No matter how hard we play, if we don’t commit to the margins, we won’t win. They made more three-pointers, more shots, more free throws, more offensive rebounds, and fewer turnovers overall. Even if you play as hard as you want, you won’t succeed.
Jaylen Brown scored a game-high 21 points at the half, and the Celtics played with great intensity right from the start.
However, Boston lost its fervor. even before the half was over, and it was expensive for them.
Celtics guard Derrick White stated, “It has obviously happened more times than we want.” “At the beginning of the game, everything was so simple, but as they got more aggressive, we weren’t able to keep up with them. That lies solely with each of us individually and as a group. We must figure out how to play for 48 minutes.
Throughout the game, the Celtics also displayed moments of indiscretion. Rob Williams was unsuccessfully alley-ooped by Brown off the backboard. Marcus Smart was given a technical foul and was whistled. Despite it being obvious that his shot wasn’t falling, Jayson Tatum made eight consecutive three-pointers.
The Celtics forfeited several of easy three-pointers that gave Brooklyn a chance to tie the game.
However, Mazzulla was concerned about the Celtics’ deficiency in 3-point shooting from the start. Boston makes about thirty three-pointers a game on average.
Despite Brooklyn’s 2-11 performance from 3-point range in the first quarter, Mazzulla said he saw potential issues with the volume of their attempts.

Mazzulla admitted, “I was genuinely concerned,” regarding the early period in which the Celtics increased their lead. “Not because we were making shots, but because we were scoring.” It was as a result of our layups. They also have a very strong analytical team. Since they were going to keep making threes, I knew the tide would turn.
