Total Breakdown: Aaron Boone broke down in tears when he broke the awful news about this important player and provided a heartbreaking update

On Tuesday’s “Talkin’ Yanks” podcast, manager Aaron Boone of the New York Yankees gave no guarantees, but it sounded like he thought All-Star slugger Aaron Judge would play in Wednesday’s spring training game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

As ESPN’s Jorge Castillo pointed out, in a game on Sunday, March 10, Judge went 0-for-2 with two strikeouts. Following the game, the 2022 American League Most Valuable Player had an MRI on his abdomen for a possible core injury. Boone stated on Tuesday that Judge, 31, does not have an abdominal tear, despite the fact that the player has not played since and did not participate in batting practice on Monday as had been anticipated.

“He really just experienced some soreness in that core area, but that’s why I think they were super cautious with going and making sure they got some images of it,” Boone commented on Judge’s most recent setback.
