Sean Dyche has requested that a star player for the Everton team stay at home for three months in order to properly recover from a serious injury that nearly claimed his life.

An update on Everton’s injuries has been given by Sean Dyche ahead of their Premier League matchup with West Ham United. On Saturday night, the Blues will host David Moyes’ team at Goodison Park.

Prior to the game, Dyche stated that he would be deciding at the last minute whether to start midfielders Idrissa Gueye and Amadou Onana. He continued: “[Gana] is still settling down and Ama [Onana] has got a groin thing, similar to Gana’s, which is just settling down, so we’ll make more of a decision on them tomorrow [Friday].”

Additionally, the Everton manager disclosed that while Andre Gomes has returned to training after sustaining an ankle injury, Arnaut Danjuma will continue to miss his team’s upcoming games due to a “longer-term situation”.

He stated: “Arnie Danjuma is healing nicely from his ankle injury, but it’s clearly a longer-term issue. He’s doing very well indeed. He seems to be doing well, according to our conversation that I had with him just before I arrived for the press conference.

“André has joined us again on the grass. He’s progressing nicely.

When asked about Dele’s status, Dyche said, “Dele’s focus is just getting fit.” He still has a while [left], obviously, but he’s only thinking about that.
