The head coach of Jacksonville jaguars Doug Pederson is very happy as his team player is back
Jackson, Virginia – With his damaged throwing shoulder, Trevor Lawrence is attempting to be both aggressive and careful in the hopes that this strategy would enable him to return to the starting lineup for Jacksonville’s crucial regular-season finale against Tennessee on Sunday.
On Wednesday, Lawrence worked out in a restricted capacity, although he refrained from throwing throughout the reporter-accessible portion of practice. He rested his right shoulder all last week, missing all of last Sunday’s 26-0 victory over Carolina. This broke his 51-game winning streak as the first overall choice in the 2021 draft.
It feels better, Lawrence reported on Wednesday. It is obviously going a little slower than I would have expected, but overall, it feels very well considering I missed last week’s game. Things are improving daily. I’m just attempting to approach it aggressively while remaining cautious in order to recover as quickly as possible while still being wise. Thus, there’s a thin line.
The week before versus Tampa Bay, Lawrence injured his AC joint plunging for a first down on a fourth-and-1 play. After that, he was hardly able to raise his arm in the locker room and hasn’t been able to throw much since.
Lawrence might get receiver Christian Kirk back if he is able to play. After groin surgery, Kirk was placed on injured reserve for the last four weeks. Kirk’s 21-day window for a return was opened by the Jaguars on Wednesday, and he was practicing as usual. Coach Doug Pederson, however, refrained from saying that Kirk was ready to play.
“This will be a slow, gradual process because, obviously, we don’t want any setbacks,” Pederson stated. “But getting him out there will be beneficial.”
Since Week 6, Kirk claimed to have been playing through a torn abdominal muscle on the other side after tearing his left abductor off the bone.
Being able to go outside and practice is made possible by the fact that I’m here in front of you guys in cleats.
