Sad news: A Kansas City Chiefs player who was the oldest was found dead in his…

According to a person close to Jordan Willis, the Kansas City Chiefs watch party host whose buddies were discovered dead inexplicably in his icy backyard, he is thinking about filing a defamation lawsuit against the men’s families for openly airing their suspicions that he was responsible for his friends’ deaths.

In the meantime, David Harrington’s father stated that his family plans to launch a wrongful death case while the men’s families await information regarding the loss of their loved ones.

Harrington’s father, Jon Harrington, told People that “there will be a wrongful death lawsuit and a private investigator will most likely be part of that.”

The three men—Harrington, 37; Clayton McGeeney, 36; and Ricky Johnson, 38—were last seen alive inside Willis’ house on January 9, two days after they were found freezing and dead in the backyard.

The older Harrington told the publication that he was informed by the Kansas City Police Department that cocaine and fentanyl had been discovered in his son’s corpse in the preliminary toxicology testing. The outcomes are still confidential.

People reported that while Harrington did not dispute the test’s results, he was “not buying” that his kid had taken such drugs on his own initiative:

The elder Harrington described his son as someone who “loved life.” “I am incredibly sure that the outcome of this was not intended.”

“I believe he intended to get drunk,” he states. “And I couldn’t blame him, especially given his age. was unable to stop him. That doesn’t exist. But I’m not believing that about the [pills]. I don’t dispute that’s what they discovered in his system, but we’re still unsure of how it entered.”

According to the authorities, there is no suspicion of foul play in their deaths. They are “100% not being investigated as homicide[s],” Fox News Digital was informed.

Nonetheless, relatives of the individuals have come forward with theories that Willis was directly involved in their deaths.

Harrington’s father had previously stated to Fox News Digital that he and his son’s mother “just [hadn’t] figured out how yet,” but they were “convinced that Jordan Willis played a part in this somehow.”

The 38-year-old’s father stated he “[believed Willis] drugged them, dragged them outside and waited two days to call police,” while Johnson’s mother earlier told Fox News Digital that she felt Willis had “concocted something and gave it to all three men.”

According to Willis’s lawyer, John Picerno, his client did not know that his friends were in need of assistance in his backyard and did not know that they had died there until the police showed there late on January 9.

McGeeney’s fiancée broke onto Willis’ home after knocking on his door and trying to contact him without getting a response, and she then contacted the police. Outside, she discovered the body of one of the men.

Fox News Digital was informed on Monday by a close source of Willis’s that the HIV scientist “has been left with no choice but to consider slander and defamation suits against these families, friends and significant others who have baselessly accused him in a smear campaign on every public forum willing to give them a platform to blame and point fingers.” Willis has since moved out of his Kansas City home and spent time in a rehab facility.

“The latest news story regarding a wrongful death lawsuit is a completely shameless attempt to get more attention when nothing else has even been released yet by the police department,” stated a source.

“I recognize these families are grief stricken, but grief is not an open-ended excuse to say whatever you want publicly without repercussion, and they’ve completely crossed the line,” they stated on behalf of Willis. “Not only have their wild accusations changed as more details were released by the police department, from the beginning, they’ve allowed themselves to get caught up in the TikTok theories and internet conspiracists trying to turn this into a TV drama.”
