Joelinton’s talent is well known, and it is shameful to see the disrespect he receives. He is the best player in training every day, and if you can get him on your team, you’re excited because you’ll win every time. Sean Longstaff said as much following Joelinton’s man-of-the-match performance in midfield against Manchester United.

After Joelinton, a forward who is now a midfielder, was named man of the match in Newcastle’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United, Sean Longstaff jumped to his defense.
Joelinton, who was purchased for £40 million from Hoffenheim in 2019 and signed as a striker, has come under fire for his goal-scoring exploits, as evidenced by his meagre 94 appearances across all competitions (10 goals).
But in recent weeks, the 22-year-old has been moved back into midfield, where he has flourished. As a result, on Monday night, he was named man of the match.

Rangnick speaks of Manchester United’s performance following the draw, saying, “I didn’t like the performance at all.”
“What a group of whinge-bags!” Neville attacks Manchester United angrily
And when that honor was being given to him, his teammate Longstaff jumped to his defense.
“We are aware of Joelinton’s talent, and the disdain he receives. is a disgrace,” Longstaff said.

“Since the manager arrived, he has demonstrated his behavior in training. He’s very well liked by everyone at the club. If you pay close attention to him, you can see how good he is, even though the noise coming from outside is so rude. I’m incredibly pleased and proud of him.”
Eddie Howe, his manager, clarified that the shift to midfield might be a long-term one.
“We went down to 10 men against Norwich and reshuffled and played Joelinton as an eight, and he was brilliant defensively,” stated Howe.
“He understands tactics well. As you have seen, he has played excellent defense tonight.
