Ivan Cleary, the premiership-winning coach of the Panthers, has given an explanation for his absence from the team during Round 14: blood clots in his legs.

Weidler stated, “He is now receiving treatment for all of that, and, happily, he is back at home and hopes to be back working with the Panthers tomorrow.”
