Mulkey has guided the Tigers to great heights with her basketball acumen and invaluable coaching experience, but it’s her inspiration off the court that keeps this team going.

block the team has encountered this season, but Mulkey maintained his composure.

In her press conference after their defeat by Florida, Mulkey stated, “There’s nothing to change; it’s not broken,” and after their defeat by Arkansas, she stated, “The sky is not falling.”

Though she is regarded as one of the greatest women’s college basketball coaches of all time, Coach Mulkey stands out for her ability to maintain her team’s focus even when things aren’t going according to plan.

“You can’t expect everything to go your way all the time,” she remarked during the press conference following the Florida defeat. “You have to persevere despite errors.”

Mulkey remarked, “I absolutely love what I do,” at a recent Greater Baton Rouge Business Report seminar. “I believe that if you lead your people and your business in that way, they have to appreciate it. I’m real, honest, passionate, and intense.”
