The Swansea City head coach has been suspended due to a misunderstanding, which is unbelievable news for the brave fans.
The brave supporters are shocked to learn that the head coach of Swansea City has been suspended because of a misunderstanding.
The 43-year-old, who currently ranks 18th in England’s second division, was stripped of his duties on Monday night.
“This was a very difficult decision that was given considerable thought and attention,” stated Chairman Andy Coleman in a statement.
“I accept that throughout Michael’s time, the club has undergone a great deal of change, both on and off the field. I kept asking for tolerance while we gave him time to organize the team and carry out his goals.
“Unfortunately, neither the progress from the squad that we require nor the results that we expect have been witnessed. I think Swansea City would be better off with a new head coach right now.
“As a person and a leader, Michael has my utmost regard. I am aware of the tremendous amount of effort he and his team have put in for Swansea City this season. For all that they have given up for this club and this community, I personally want to thank Michael, Martin, and their families.
Additionally, it has been verified that “the club will update supporters in due course and the process to appoint a new head coach is already under way.”
Russell Martin left for Southampton in June of this year, and Duff took his place at Swansea.
Prior to that, he had a great season with Barnsley, leading the team to the League One play-off final before Sheffield Wednesday overcame them.
His dismissal follows Swansea’s weekend 1-1 draw with Huddersfield. Out of their 19 league games this season, they have only won five.
Fans’ discontent has been growing for a while since they never felt as though Duff’s style of football fit with the team’s identity or what has come to be known as “the Swansea way.”
