The Penrith Panthers head coach has been suspended due to a misunderstanding, which is unbelievable news for the brave fans.

The courageous supporters are shocked to learn that the head coach of the Penrith Panthers has been suspended because of a misunderstanding.

The trainer for Penrith has been suspended for the remainder of the season and fined $25,000 for allegedly breaking NRL regulations during the team’s thrilling victory over Parramatta on Saturday night.

The Panthers and head coach Green received a breach notice from the NRL on Tuesday after the latter had to halt play in the 76th minute of Saturday’s match in Mackay to tend to injured hooker Mitch Kenny.

According to NRL regulations, trainers are not allowed to indicate to the referee to halt play until after the initial examination has been completed, which was not done, and only in the event of a serious injury.

The Eels, trailing by two points at the time, were experiencing a wave of momentum and had a number overlap ten meters outside of Penrith’s line.

However, the Panthers were able to modify their defensive line and hold on for the victory due to the play-stopping incident that occurred to tend to Kenny’s ankle injury. It is anticipated that Kenny will miss Saturday’s preliminary final versus Melbourne.

Green was also handed a show-cause for a similar incident earlier in the season, so the penalty is a major blow for the Panthers.

A warning was also given to Hayden Knowles, another Panthers trainer.

The statement said, “After an alleged violation of the game’s operations manual, the National Rugby League has issued the Penrith Panthers with a breach notice proposing the club be fined $25,000 and the club’s orange trainer [Green] suspended from accessing the field of play and sideline for the remainder of the 2021 season.”

“According to the infringement notice, the Parramatta Eels and the club’s orange trainer improperly stopped play in the 76th minute of Saturday night’s NRL Telstra Premiership Final.

According to the handbook, a head trainer is only permitted to halt play after conducting an initial evaluation that determines whether a doctor has to enter the playing field due to an emergency. The club’s blue trainer has also received a warning from the NRL for his involvement in the halt.

In addition to having five days to reply to the breach notice, the Panthers will be able to substitute a different head coach for Green for both Saturday night’s preliminary final and, should they advance, the grand final.

But the Eels will find little solace in the sanctions. Graham Annesley, the head of football for the NRL, said on Monday that Jarome Luai improperly dragged Mitch Moses back late in the 8-6 match, depriving Parramatta of a penalty with 12 minutes remaining.
