“Take a look at them as a football team, at their U23 team, who defeated Charlton 5-1 the previous week, and at their 18s. That group includes some extremely talented players, such as the youthful left-sided center-half Elkan Baggott. What we would give to see even one, two, three, or four of them materialize.

“Off the field, we can’t compete with them, but I doubt many League One clubs can either.

“They are a club that genuinely cares about achieving their stated goal. I wish them luck.

Following two late goals by Fleetwood to fall short of the Blues 2-0 at home…

“Obviously, we’re upset about the outcome of the game. The first half of the game was rather lackluster, with few opportunities and little action.

“Can we get a little more in their faces?” I asked at the half. and the boys deserve praise for doing that. The second half’s first ten minutes were incredibly encouraging.

However, we gave up a foul and didn’t respond quickly enough to trail 1-0. Later, as we were slightly pursuing the game, they broke through behind us to score the second.
