Heartache, the owner of Wolvershamton Wanderers, signed a legendary player for more than $20 million, and the head coach has…
Leo Lopes, a teenage attacker, has signed with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
With a three-year deal that expires in June 2026, the 18-year-old has signed with Wolves. For the forthcoming campaign, he will first train with the club’s under-21 squad.
Although Lopes is Portuguese, it appears that he lived in the UK for a while, as Wolves claim to have been following him since he was sixteen. The adolescent winger has been a member of Switzerland’s Grasshopper Club Zurich for the last two years.
Leo is a dynamic attacker who can play on either wing, according to Harry Hooman, Wolves’ head of UK academy recruitment. “In one-on-one scenarios, his ability and athleticism make things happen. He exhibits good intensity and a drive to defend out of possession and is ready to handle the opposing side of the ball as well.

His hunger and charisma have always been the things that have most struck me about him. Leo has demonstrated true maturity by traveling to Switzerland at the age of sixteen to explore a foreign nation and culture. Over those two years, he undoubtedly learned a lot both on and off the field, but now is the time for him to step up and prove his abilities to us.
“He knows he will have to work hard and show consistency to earn his opportunities going forward, but he has the attributes to be an exciting player for us,” Hooman continued.
Entering our under-21 team will provide him with the next challenge and evaluation he most likely requires. His goal for the preseason will be to adjust to his new surroundings and get to know the coaching staff.
“I’m excited to follow his growth and hope to see him regularly making an impact on games.”
