The Philadelphia 76ers and the New York Knicks will square off at home on Thursday. After the All-Star break, Philadelphia is ranked as the No. 5 seed and behind the Knicks by half a game for the fourth spot in the rankings.

Joel Embiid (left knee meniscus surgery), De’Anthony Melton (lumbar spine stress response), and Robert Covington (left knee bone bruise) are all out of this game, so the Sixers will still be rather shorthanded.

Early in March, Embiid will be reevaluated. Melton attended practice on Wednesday, but he will be sidelined indefinitely—he hasn’t missed time since January 12. Covington last played on December 30.

Nic Batum has a left hamstring strain, which has him marked as questionable. He didn’t play on January 29.

The injury report does not include Tobias Harris, who was sidelined for the final two games prior to the All-Star break because of a left hip impingement.

The Sixers and Knicks will tip off on Thursday at 7 p.m. EST from the Wells Fargo Center.
