The head coach of West Ham has officially announced his retirement due to his wife…
David Moyes will walk out of the London Stadium with his head held high, whether it is this weekend if West Ham United loses to Everton or at the conclusion of a stay of execution.
This is the reason Moyes seemed content with his tenure at West Ham prior to the match that would determine his future when he stated on the Diary of a CEO podcast that “it wouldn’t be the end of the earth” if he lost his job there.
Moyes struck a laid-back figure as he started his pre-match media responsibilities, joking that he had talked “a lot of s—e*” on the podcast. However, at certain points, it seemed like he had begun saying goodbye.
Moyes has earned the right to exaggerate in his favor. The 59-year-old was eager to remind everyone of the good times, the relegation rescue act, the sixth and seventh-place finishes, and the excursions to “nearly all” the European cities.
“I was brought in twice by West Ham to save the team and maintain them,” Moyes remarked. Then, we concluded in Europe after two seasons in which we placed sixth and seventh in the Premier League.
“In the past two years, we have almost entirely visited European towns, which has been terrific for West Ham. I’m sure you guys can recall the last time West Ham was in a similar situation.
