It’s Heartbreaking: A very loyal knicks player has announced his sudden retirement, sending a powerful statement and bidding the team and supporters
Following a devastating loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, the New York Knicks triumphed in back-to-back road games against two of the best teams in the Western Conference, as everyone had predicted.
After losing to the Thunder, many Knicks supporters believed that things would only get worse. As it stands, the team is currently 8-7. Jalen Brunson seemed to be the difference maker in the victory over the Nuggets, so his addition was felt greatly.
In addition, Julius Randle had a fantastic performance, finishing with 34 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists. That kind of game might not have ended in a victory the previous season, but Brunson wasn’t a member of the team.
In the win, Brunson tallied 21 points, seven assists, and five rebounds. When asked what impressed him most about the win after the game, he gave a straightforward response: Julius Randle.
With 15 games remaining in the season, there is a growing sample size to gauge how this team will perform, and Randle is beginning to demonstrate his abilities.
Randle is averaging 20.4 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game this season. More significantly, even though his shooting percentage from the field is lower than his career average of 47.2 percent, it is still rising at 45.9 percent.
During his tenure with the Knicks, Brunson has taken on a leadership role and is making an effort to recognize and encourage his teammates whenever he can. He mentioned Randle, for instance, as the thing that stuck out after the Nuggets victory.
He uttered, “Julius Randle, Julius Randle, and, um, Julius Randle.”
It’s difficult to find anything wrong with him stating that following the victory, but it’s intriguing that he did so after having a strong performance. He even accomplished the unusual feat of dunking during it.
Brunson is demonstrating his support for his teammate, particularly in light of the negative attention Randle has received this year and throughout the previous season.
