BOSTON Celtics Notebook: Bill Russell ready to leave due to…
Jayson Tatum was on the bench for Jaylen Brown’s 50-point performance in Sunday’s
overtime win over Orlando, and could once
again put his mind to how this team can finally live up to its potential.
The Celtics star ran through a full practice Tuesday, and after missing the last four
games — three in health and safety protocol and one to get some post-quarantine conditioning — he’ll return for Wednesday’s game against San Antonio.
The Celtics, in a true rarity, also get their full rotation back, minus the still-quarantined Aaron Nesmith.
If ever there was a time for the 2021-22 Celtics to finally harvest the full power of
their two young stars, this would seem to be the time with nine of their 15 remaining games this month at home.
“Hopefully this next stretch guys can stay on the court and we can have a nice run with everybody healthy and together. Hopefully
we can start to play our best basketball,” Tatum said after his post-practice shooting session.
