Although Wolves lost 3-0 at Newcastle the previous weekend, they have had good results at Molineux for the majority of the season, so they should be optimistic when they host Fulham on Saturday.

In the meantime, the Cottagers ought to be brimming with confidence following their recent victories against Brighton and Manchester United, in addition to their 3-2 triumph over Gary O’Neil’s squad at Craven Cottage in November.

Though injuries will prevent Hee Chan Hwang and Matheus Cunha from playing forward for Wolves, there is optimism that Pedro Neto and Jose Sa will be fit. But Joao Gomes continues to be inactive.

Joao Palhinha’s return from suspension will help Fulham, while Raul Jimenez, a striker, is the only confirmed absentee due to a thigh injury.

When Fulham and Wolves played at Craven Cottage in November, there were five goals scored between the two teams. There is a good probability that their encounter on Saturday will be just as competitive and exciting.

After losing 3-0 against Newcastle the previous week, Wolves will likely write that one off when they return to Molineux. Nevertheless, they will need to bounce back.

Their performance at home indicates they have plenty to be optimistic about; in all competitions, they have only lost twice in 13 meetings at Molineux, and one of those losses occurred against Manchester United under regrettable circumstances.

Even if Matheus Cunha and Hee Chan Hwang are sidelined, they have recently posted impressive away victories against Brentford, Chelsea, and Tottenham, so they should be optimistic.

Fulham struggles to maintain clean sheets away from home, but they can improve after winning 2-1 at Old Trafford last month—their second away victory of the season—especially after putting on a strong display in last week’s 3-0 victory over Brighton. Key midfielder Palhinha is back frosuspension.
