“It’s inevitable that there will be back and forth regarding the club’s contract negotiations,” he remarked.

“The players should strive to play very well and provide a truly excellent account of themselves between now and the summer, as that will have a significant influence on future events.”

Currently on loan at Swansea.com Stadium are Carl Rushworth, Bashir Humphreys, Jamal Lowe, Charlie Patino, Harrison Ashby, and Charles Sagoe Jr.

In the summer, the contracts of Liam Cullen, Joe Allen, Nathan Wood, Liam Walsh, Jamie Paterson, Kyle Naughton, and Przemysław Płacheta expire.

Williams stated, “Now we’re looking forward to the summer where we’ve got more information about our own group and players that are out there and will be really able to reshape the squad.” in reference to the summer transfer window.
In the meantime, Josh Ginnelly, Liam Walsh, and Sam Parker—all long-term absences—will not play for Swansea against Ipswich Town on Saturday.

Jay Lowe, Josh Key, Azeem Abdulai, and Harrison Ashby will also miss out, but they are getting closer to being fit, while Harry Darling will be evaluated prior to the match.

“I came to Fairwood before the game on Tuesday (against Leeds) to put on a session with the fitness guys and the players who are working on returning to play,” said Williams.

“I was thrilled to see them on the pitch after such a difficult practice, and I don’t think they are too far away.

“They will not be ready to go for Saturday, but they are making good progress.”
