Due to his wife and other terrible marital problems, Lindy Ruff sorrowfully announced his retirement unexpectedly, and all his team players broke down in tears, but…

All of Lindy Ruff’s teammates sobbed when he abruptly announced his retirement, citing his wife and other horrible marital issues.

Less than a year after legendary coach Lindy Ruff guided the New Jersey Devils to their best regular-season record, general manager Tom Fitzgerald lambasted both his failing club and himself.

Fitzgerald said on Tuesday, less than a day after removing Ruff from his coaching position, that he tried for as long as possible to get the team to improve, but in the end, he let go of his close friend after witnessing the young team lose five of its last seven games and get farther behind in the hunt for a wild-card playoff spot.

“We’re all responsible,” Fitzgerald stated. This reflects on all of us. After speaking with the team, I learned that a good man was let go due to the team’s poor performance. It begins with me up here, as I mentioned. This team is something I created. I’m attempting to organize this team around our current pillars.

“It is insufficient. Wishing and expecting that things will change isn’t a plan, and it hasn’t, according to Fitzgerald. People must examine themselves in the mirror. Every single one of us. The effort was insufficient. It is insufficient.

Travis Green, the former head coach of Vancouver who joined the staff this season, will now have the task of turning the Devils around in the final 21 games of the regular season. He spoke to reporters prior to New Jersey’s 5-3 loss to Florida, the top team in the Eastern Conference, on Tuesday night.
