John Terrence Lynch Jr., a former safety and well-known American football executive, is the general manager of the San Francisco 49ers in the National Football League (NFL). He also played in the Major Leagues prior to his NFL career, having been selected as a right-handed pitcher by the Florida Marlins in the 1992 Major League Baseball Draft. In addition to winning Super Bowl XXXVII with the Buccaneers, he spent four seasons as a player with the Denver Broncos until retiring from the NFL in 2008.
