A teenage player’s contract was canceled by Turkish team Besiktas after his dating profile was discovered online and quickly went viral on social media.
The 21-year-old winger Emirhan Delibas left the team amicably, however he has called the account “fake” and denied that the profile belongs to him.
Delibas only played for Besiktas for two seasons before leaving, however he was a member of their youth program and played for them at different age groups.
“We have parted ways with professional football player Emirhan Delibas by mutual agreement,” the club said in a statement. We hope he finds success in his next endeavors.
Even though the formal justification for the decision was not made public, it was probably related to Delibas’ purported Bumble profile.
