Good news: A legendary player has accepted a proposal from the all-time great.

At the International Table Tennis Federation Awards in Busan, South Korea, the 36-year-old took home the gold.

With arthrogryposis, a condition that impairs movement in all four limbs, Bayley said he hasn’t dropped a match in the men’s class 7 event since 2021.

The athlete from Sheffield described taking home the title as “amazing.”.

“It’s amazing because there are so many amazing players; to get the best player of everyone is special,” he said in an interview with BBC Radio Sheffield.

“I’ll probably never win it again.”

At the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Summer Paralympics, Bayley took home the gold medal. In the Tokyo Games that were rescheduled for 2021, she won both individual and team silver.
