Don deal: After how many years of waiting, the Denver Broncos have finally completed the deal
The Denver Broncos haven’t had much to cheer about this season, and they have just one game left in 2022.
The Broncos will embark on an immensely significant offseason as soon as the final seconds of their season-ending game against the Los Angeles Chargers this Sunday are tallied. Sean Payton is currently being considered as a potential candidate for head coach, and that will be the first priority.
After that is resolved, the team will turn to free agency, which typically begins with a decision about which players the team wants to retain before looking into other possibilities. This offseason, a number of Broncos players are expected to become free agents. Only a handful of those players truly earned a new contract with the team because this is their contract year.
Several players are set to become free agents, so general manager George Paton and his staff will have choices to make. However, based on their performance in 2022, these three players have earned the right to return.

Do you recall how awful Alex Singleton looked in the first game of the season versus the Seattle Seahawks? He has been one of the most reliable players on the team this season, leaving that performance in the dust.
With 152 total tackles this season, Singleton is currently ranked seventh in the league despite appearing to be involved in every defensive play. This season, he has racked up double digits in tackles in six games and has twice surpassed the 20-tackle mark in a single game.
He came close to shattering the NFL record for the most solo tackles in a game earlier this season against the Los Angeles Chargers.
He has been a fantastic free-agent acquisition for the Broncos, easily leading the team in tackles this season.
Last March, Singleton agreed to a one-year contract with the team. Despite his advanced age, he is still capable of playing excellent football. He recently turned 29.
He ought to return the following season, and he might have even manipulated the team into giving him a multi-year contract. Singleton gives everything he has on the field and is a tackling machine. He is the kind of player that the defense as a whole can exploit.
