Another terrible piece of news: The Red Bull received another Turffest heartbreaking piece of news, as the manager and Max Verstappen have confirmed with tears down their eyes…

Another awful bit of news: Max Verstappen and the Red Bull boss both verified the news with tears in their eyes. The company received another devastating piece of news during Turffest.

Before the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix this weekend, the three-time world champion was questioned by the media if his father regretted saying that Red Bull might blow up if troublesome team manager Christian Horner stayed in charge.

“I haven’t asked him that, but based on our go-karting experiences, I know my dad to be a pretty honest and forthright person. Verstappen stated, “That’s for certain.

“I’m really close to my dad. We give daily calls.”

Additionally, he made an effort to defuse tensions around Red Bull by asserting that he was focused on his racing and not team divisions in the wake of rumors that he was considering a 2025 switch to Mercedes.

“I’m the driver; I don’t know what’s happening higher up,” he replied. However, I have a contract that requires me to concentrate on the performance side of things, so this weekend, that’s what I’ll be doing.

“What has been said in Bahrain by everyone is to just leave that behind and hopefully have a quieter weekend here.”

Raymond Vermeulen, a longtime associate, and his father, Jos, a former Formula One driver, make up Verstappen’s tight personal team. Verstappen has a lot of faith and trust in both men.

He remarked, “I don’t see myself in Formula One without them by my side,” and expressed his hope that Horner and his father might work things out for the good of the team.

“It doesn’t matter being on one side or the other side; I guess Jos felt that way,” he continued, alluding to Jos’s inflammatory remarks regarding Horner from the previous weekend.

Being on the opposite side would be strange for me as my dad’s son, but I just want to concentrate on the performance aspect of things and talk less about our activities off-track and more about the actual performance. We anticipate a fantastic year with our fantastic automobile.

“Everyone in general, even if you have arguments or not, there are always things that can be worked out.”

After Verstappen won the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix on Saturday, Horner declared that he was “absolutely confident” that he would continue as Red Bull’s manager. He also dismissed lingering rumors about his behavior after he was found not to have acted inappropriately.

Following allegations of Horner’s alleged inappropriate behavior toward a female team member, an internal investigation into Horner’s conduct was conducted.

“Dread of being ripped apart”
The investigation and the result did not impress Jos Verstappen.

“There is tension here while he remains in position,” he stated. “There’s a chance this team might fall apart. Things cannot continue as they are. It’s going to blow up. Even though he is the one creating the issues, he is acting as the victim.”

Max Verstappen responded, “I saw a lot of stories about that, which was a bit weird to read, but from my side, what I want—and it doesn’t matter who is involved in the team or not—is to have a quiet environment where everyone is happy to work,” when asked about the effect of the stories from the previous weekend.

He continued by saying he planned to stay at Red Bull until 2028.

“Nobody would have seen that Lewis would move to Ferrari,” he stated. “However, in life in general, you can never predict what will happen to you, what will come your way, or what will have an impact on you.

Therefore, you can never be certain that anything will always be that way, even though that is how I live my life.

“I am very relaxed and very happy with the team, and the performance is there, so there’s no reason to leave.”
