An additional hit of the year: the head coach of the Detriot Lions just revealed some terrible news regarding his…
After eight games in the 2021 season, it is evident that the Detroit Lions offense is a serious weakness.
Head coach Dan Campbell described the team’s performance to reporters after his team lost to the Philadelphia Eagles 44-6. He called it anemic.
“The issue arises when you attempt to drive the ball down the field but are unsuccessful, leaving you with a second-and-10 situation. That means you’re back to running or making a shorter pass; you’re now on third and eight.
After the Eagles defeat, Campbell said, “It’s just tough sledding.” Then there’s a turnover, a penalty, a block that is missed, or, at one point today, we had a shove. We trip over Matt Nelson’s foot while attempting to assist him.
Does that make a difference? We get fired after he gets run over. It’s just like the Bad News Bears sometimes, you know? Again, that’s my fault, dude. I didn’t play that poorly because you don’t play that poorly unless your head coach doesn’t have you ready to go. That is quite clear. We all know that, I believe.

The Eagles destroyed the Lions in every manner, 44-6.
Following such a dismal offensive showing, Detroit’s first-year head coach intends to watch a lot of game film during the bye week to look for any potential fixes.
Being more involved with the offensive side of the ball during games, as opposed to focusing on everything, is one thing Campbell can improve on, he said on Tuesday on the “Stoney and Jansen” morning show on 97.1 The Ticket.
He remarked, “I think I can contribute more with offense.” “I believe I should help with it a little more simply by getting involved. Undoubtedly, my actions just before halftime during the game the other day didn’t sit well with me. For that, I accept full responsibility. I believe that I’ve handled it fairly well given how the season has flowed thus far. Maybe I should get a little more involved with the offense since I’m trying to be so involved with everything.
Fans’ audible chant during the Eagles game called for backup quarterback David Blough to enter the game.
The third-year quarterback only saw four snaps of action, but he did eventually replace Goff, who found it difficult to guide the offense.
Fans may wish otherwise, but it is unlikely that Campbell will bench the 27-year-old quarterback very soon.
“What I see hasn’t changed,” Campbell remarked. However, nothing was flawless. Nothing about our offensive strategy was flawless. Goff didn’t seem to be the problem. There were several things that surfaced in that game, dude. We’re not open, he doesn’t have time, or the route is too deep. Like everyone else, he has a hand in it, but I don’t see anything changing.
