Unfortunately, the news that a gifted Red Bull F1 driver has passed away hurts so much.

Driver Dilano van ‘t Hoff passed away on Saturday morning following a catastrophic accident at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, the site of the FRECA race, casting a pall over the motor racing world.

The event happened as the second race was coming to an end. Additionally involved were Adam Fitzgerald, Joshua Dufek, and Enzo Scionti.

Everything took place near the Kemmel Straight entry, where the water on the track made visibility extremely poor.

Fitzgerald struck Van ‘t Hoff in the center of the track, causing a severe T-shaped crash.

The drivers received treatment from the on-track medical staff as the race was promptly stopped.

After being brought to the medical center on the circuit, Van ‘t Hoff and Fitzgerald received the worst possible news. Due to his wounds, Van ‘t Hoff had died.

The same section of the track is where F2 driver Anthoine Hubert died in an incident in 2019. Even though he was able to escape, Formula 1 driver Lando Norris had a really serious crash there in the rain.

An announcement stated, “With great sadness, Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine announces the passing of MP Motorsport driver Dilano van ‘t Hoff.”

“The incident occurred during the second race at Spa-Francorchamps.

“We would like to send our deepest sympathies to the friends, family, and team.

“Sincerely condoling the driver’s family, team, and friends, the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps, the Royal Automobile Club of Belgium, and SRO Motorsports Group join Alpine and ACI in their condolences.”

The eighteen-year-old Dutchman was competing in his third FRECA season and his second with the MP Motorsport outfit.

In the overall rankings, he was sixteenth. In 2021, he and MP Motorsport took first place in the Spanish Formula 4.
