The Jacksonville Jaguars stated that they will celebrate retired linebacker Paul Posluszny on April 16 in addition to the dates of their uniform debut and other significant events. He officially announced his retirement earlier this month, as most of you are aware, capping his seven-year career with the team.
Posluszny, 33, was the second-longest serving veteran on the team behind Marcedes Lewis when he joined with the Jaguars during the 2011 offseason after playing with the Buffalo Bills. He accomplished tremendous success while in Jacksonville, being selected to the Pro Bowl in 2013 and serving as the team captain five times. At the end of his career, he had an incredible 1,214 tackles, 16 sacks, 51 interceptions, and breakups of passes.
Posluszny may eventually be inducted by the Jaguars into their Hall of Fame, which is known as the Pride of the Jaguars, because he was a wonderful community leader in addition to exhibiting greatness on the field.
