The AC Milan head coach has announced captain Romagnoil’s retirement
In a live stream conducted via Twitter, Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com stated that there is currently only a 30% chance that Romagnoli will stay in Milan, renew his contract, and stay for longer than seven years.
What is concerning, though, is that Longo continues to say that there is a “70% chance” that he will sign with Juventus in the summer, who are looking to bolster their center-back corps in light of Chiellini’s ongoing injury issues, De Ligt’s unclear future, and Bonucci’s advanced age.
Shortly after Fikayo Tomori arrived, Romagnoli was demoted to a rotation role. However, because of recent problems with defense selection, he is once again the first player listed on the team sheet while the Englishman is away, so Maldini and Massara should consider extending his contract at a mutually agreeable amount.
