Due to his wife, the all-time Los Angeles Lakers player officially announce his retirement

Anthony Davis has fueled rumors that he might finally be hanging up his sneakers for good after 20 amazing years in the NBA.

This occurs after Nikola Jokić and the Denver Nuggets easily eliminated the Los Angeles Lakers from the Western Conference Finals with a 113-111 defeat in Game 4.

“We’ll watch what develops in the future. The NBA’s all-time top scorer admitted to reporters after the game, “I don’t know.” To be honest, I’m thinking about a lot of things.

“As for myself, I have a lot on my mind as we move forward with the basketball game.”

After the press conference, James was contacted by ESPN’s Dave McMenamin to further clarify his remarks and to suggest that he is thinking about retiring.

“What thread should we be pulling on when you say you have to think about stuff?” James said, “If I want to continue to play,” in response to McMenamin’s question.

When pressed further about leaving next year, James reportedly said he’d have to give it some thought, according to McMenamin. After agreeing to a two-year contract extension with the Lakers prior to the season, the star player has one year remaining on his deal with the team.

A representative of James was contacted by CNN, but a response was not received right away.

“King James,” surrounded by Nuggets wing Aaron Gordon, squandered two chances to win the game. The first was a hard shot that bounced off the glass’s side and was well off target. Then, with 1.1 seconds remaining, Gordon stopped a James floater, putting the season really on the line.

The four-time champion surprised everyone on Monday by changing his mind about retirement. Previously, he had stated in an interview with The Athletic that he would like to play his final NBA season in 2022 with his son, Bronny James.

James declared, “It will be my son and me in my last year.” “My location will be wherever Bronny is.” If I could play with my son for a year, I would do anything. At that point, it isn’t about the money.
