The Golden state Warriors youngest player, who has 3,000passing yards and threw 30 touchdowns, is confirmed dead
Without Curry due to an injury sustained in a 110-88 loss to the Boston Celtics, the Warriors will need to battle it out for second place in the Western Conference tonight against the Spurs and for at least a few more weeks.
Marcus Smart dived for a loose ball and rolled over the foot of Golden State’s accurate shooter, causing Curry to collide with him. Curry was diagnosed with a mild foot sprain after leaving the game and not coming back.
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr expressed his displeasure with Smart’s effort and his feelings toward the Celtics forward after witnessing his star hobble off the court.
“I’d expect Marcus Smart to make that play; he plays hard,” Draymond Green said in response to a question about whether or not the play Smart made on Curry was dirty.
“Considering how unfortunate that is, I can’t call that a dirty play. Had it been a devious plot, I would have gone straight into his head. I looked really good in the play; I was at the top. That’s the best way I can describe it, though it might be superfluous.
The Golden State Warriors have hardly had a healthy, cohesive “Big Three” lineup since Klay Thompson’s return from consecutive devastating injuries that kept him out of the game for more than two years.
On January 10, Thompson finally returned, and although Green got the game started, it was only ceremonial. Despite having a back injury early in the week, he still wanted to be a part of Thompson’s big night. Steve Kerr immediately took him out of the game while he was on the court for tip-off.
Warriors Big Three: only five quarters together this year Green returned to action on March 14th against the Washington Wizards, helping the team win 126–112. The Warriors Big Three have played for a total of five quarters and change since Curry’s second-quarter foot sprain in the very next game.
Having recently surpassed Karl Malone to take the number two spot on the all-time scoring list, LeBron James now just needs to get past Kareem Abdul Jabbar to take the top spot.
