Florida’s Jacksonville On Monday, the Jaguars Drumline co-founder passed away. At 44, he was.

Michael Patterson was a member of the drumline for over 20 years. Patterson passed away on February 19 due to a heart ailment, according to what his wife posted on social media. At Ascension St. Vincent’s Southside, he was granted a place on the “Walk of Honor” reserved for organ donors.

Social media was flooded with tributes following his death.

“It feels like a celebration with the fans, especially when we win. In 2018, Patterson said, “We jam out together,” during the D-line’s appearance on Good Morning Jacksonville. “It’s an awesome feeling.”

“Michael Patterson, a co-founder of the Jaguars Drumline, is missed by the team. The Jacksonville Jaguars released a statement saying, “We will never forget Mike’s influence on our gameday experience and his 20 years of leadership as co-director of the D-Line.”

Three-year nickel cornerback D.J. Hayden of the Jacksonville Jaguars (2020–202a) was one of six fatalities in an early-morning two-car collision in Houston on Saturday.

The University of Houston has confirmed that Ralph Oragwu and Zach McMillian, two more former Cougar players, were also killed in the accident. Jeffrey Lewis, another former player for UH, was one of the two people who survived.

In 2011 and 2012, every former Houston player was a teammate.

A Chrysler 300 and an Acura SUV were involved in the collision, which happened at around two in the morning, according to Megan Howard, an assistant chief with the Houston Police Department. According to her, the Acura, which was traveling east and had the right of way, was struck by the Chrysler when it ran a red light at “high velocity” on a southbound street.

According to Howard, interviews with the driver of the SUV—the lone survivor—are still pending as part of the investigation. According to the police, the driver of the Chrysler that was at fault died.

The family of another deceased person, Lauren Robinson-Holliday, confirmed to Houston TV station KHOU that their daughter and the four former Houston football players were all in the SUV. According to the Houston Chronicle, Hayden was one of the passengers in the Acura.
