Another catastrophic injury from an all-time player has been confirmed by the head coach of the Flyers
Philadelphia Sean Couturier, a center for the Philadelphia Flyers, sustained an injury that was not disclosed and will be reassessed during training camp. He is evaluated on a weekly basis. The Flyers did not disclose the date of Couturier’s injury.
Following back surgery in February, Couturier was sidelined for the remainder of the campaign. He concluded the season with 17 points in 29 games and, in 2021, inked an eight-year, $62 million contract extension.
John Tortorella was brought on by the Flyers in the offseason for what is anticipated to be a rebuilding season. Under Alain Vigneault and Mike Yeo, the Flyers concluded the previous season with a 25-46-11 record, finishing last in the Metropolitan Division.
