NFL Rumors: The perfect Falcons WR trade target is now being shopped, and…
He would be a good long-term option to partner with Arnold Ebiketie at outside linebacker and could take Bud Dupree’s spot in the outside linebacker rotation immediately as a free agent.
The 2023 Penn State edge rusher’s pass-rushing grade was 92.3, and his Pro Football Focus grade was 90.8. Over the past two seasons, Robinson has had eight sacks and fifty-two hurries. Despite his lackluster sack totals, he can pressure the quarterback and is a strong run-stopper.
Sweat would provide the Falcons with a strong nose tackle to work with, as defensive coordinator Jimmy Lake has officially announced that the team will run a 3-4 base. The 6-foot-4, 362-pound lineman possesses the kind of size that the interior players on this roster currently lack. As a pass rusher, sweat is difficult to stop and dominates against the run.
Melton could give the Falcons much-needed depth at cornerback while they decide how to use A.J. Terrell and Jeff Okudah. Over the past three seasons, the Rutgers defensive back has amassed eight interceptions. Although his primary position at Maryland was outside, he possesses some versatility and the ability to create plays.
Round 5, Pick 142: Kansas State’s Ben Sinnott, tight end
USA TODAY Sports’ Jay Biggerstaff
Even though we didn’t have a lot of needs at the tight end, Atlanta couldn’t pass up this deal, given its value. Ben Sinnott of Kansas State is a capable all-around athlete.
He has the ability to block, catch, and get open. With 48 catches for 669 receiving yards and six touchdowns, Sinnott concluded the 2023 campaign.
Choose 189 in Round 6: RB Missouri’s Cody Schrader
For USA TODAY Sports, Jerome Miron
Schrader ran for 1,611 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2023 while playing for Missouri, an incredibly productive season. The Falcons have two good backs in Tyler Allgeier and Bijan Robinson, but Schrader makes sense here in the sixth round given the uncertainty surrounding Cordarrelle Patterson’s future.
Although Logue is a raw talent, he can add depth to the defensive line’s interior and stop the run. Despite his need for improvement as a pass rusher, Logue’s size and versatility may allow him to establish himself as a nice rotational player on Atlanta’s defensive line.
Pick 241 in Round 7: Maryland native Taulia Tagovailoa
Since we acquired Justin Fields by trading Desmond Ridder, we reasoned that we should select Maryland’s Taulia Tagovailoa in the seventh round. Taulia Tagovailoa, the quarterback for the Terrapins last season, passed for 3,386 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. He is the younger brother of Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
